JDocDB Help

Overview

As a document database, the most basic operation is the addition of documents to the database itself. In reality, documents are uploaded and stored in the traditional filesystem of the host system. As documents are added, descriptive data is collected describing them, their component parts, etc. which is stored in the database. The database can then be queried in numerous ways to retrieve the various documents managed by the system.

In addition to uploading documents and collecting their descriptive metadata, celander events (like meetings, conferences, etc) can be created. Documents can be associated with these events, allowing agendas with linked documents to be presented.
